Leaf and Water Cremation

Leaf & Water is a dedicated water cremation provider serving families across the northeastern United States. Operating a facility in Vermont, the company offers alkaline hydrolysis, also known as aquamation or flameless cremation, as an environmentally conscious alternative to burial and traditional flame-based cremation. Its process uses water and alkaline salts and is described as consuming substantially less energy than flame cremation, without releasing greenhouse gases or mercury.

The company arranges for a licensed funeral director in the family’s area to bring the deceased to a local funeral home for preparation before transport to Leaf & Water’s facility. Families may choose direct water cremation without a formal service or viewing, then receive the remains to plan a private gathering or personalized memorial later. Water cremation is also available after a traditional funeral service, including when embalming has taken place. Leaf & Water serves New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Maryland.
