Leavesley Aviation, trading as Shropshire Paragliding School, is a British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association-registered school established in 1995. Owned and run by Mark and Sian Leavesley, it is based in the Shropshire hills and provides paragliding experiences and instruction for beginners through to experienced pilots. Mark, a British team member with more than 5,000 hours of flying experience, leads the school’s training and tandem flights.
Offerings include day taster experiences, five-day Elementary Pilot and Club Pilot courses, hill conversion training, strong-wind instruction, tandem flights, one-to-one guiding, holidays and other aviation experiences. Courses are taught in small groups, with a focus on personal guidance, safety and building pilots’ skills and confidence. The school also undertakes film and stunt work.
Leavesley Aviation’s online shop sells paragliding equipment and accessories, including wings, harnesses, instruments, radios and related products. Its knowledge resources include a YouTube channel with more than 130 videos covering tutorials, flight experiences and equipment reviews. The school also shares a gallery and practical links for weather information and local accommodation.
