Leben ohne Drogen

Leben ohne Drogen e.V. is a volunteer-led nonprofit association supporting addiction prevention, outpatient and residential treatment, and peer-led recovery support in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis region of Germany. For more than 30 years, it has helped fund and, at times, actively support local initiatives addressing substance use and behavioral addictions. The association does not appear to provide treatment directly; instead, it backs charitable services, projects, and self-help groups working with people affected by addiction and their families.

Its support includes safe, substance-free meeting places that offer daily structure and opportunities to develop new goals, prevention activities for young people, parents, schools, youth workers, and training businesses, and self-help groups for people experiencing addiction and their relatives. It also considers applications for innovative addiction-support projects. The organization raises awareness through readings and cultural events, and encourages public understanding of issues including alcohol, tobacco, drugs, medication misuse, gambling, and problematic media use. Members and donors help fund its regional work, with membership and donations directed toward supported projects.
