Lebuwe

Atteridgeville Saulsville Association for People with Disabilities (ASAPD) is a nonprofit organization serving people with disabilities in Atteridgeville and Saulsville, Pretoria. Through its Lebuwe Centre, it has supported the community for more than four decades, focusing on skills development, inclusion, and dignity-centred care. Its work aims to reduce barriers and help people participate more fully at home, in public spaces, and in the economy.

ASAPD offers skills development and income-generating activities, assistive-device support and referrals, and care coordination through support networks. Its community programmes also include youth and women’s empowerment, awareness-raising, and advocacy. These services are intended to build opportunity, support independence, and connect people with practical assistance.

The organization welcomes support through volunteering, donations of useful goods or money, and corporate partnerships aligned with CSI, ESD, or SED goals. Volunteer roles may include skills training, mentoring, administration, and event support. ASAPD is based on Maunde Street in Atteridgeville and operates on weekdays. It reports continued compliance while navigating funding pressures and rising costs.
