L'échapétoire

L’échapétoire is a moped rental business based in Vézac, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley’s Golden Triangle. It offers visitors a distinctive way to explore the Périgord Noir: riding one of 25 vintage mopeds, renovated by the team, on scenic routes through the region. Rentals are suitable for couples, families, friends and work colleagues, and include fuel, equipment and a 30-minute briefing.

Customers can choose between two 45-kilometre itineraries. One explores the area’s celebrated heritage, including La Roque-Gageac and the castles of Castelnau, Beynac and Les Milandes, with an optional stop at the Rue du Temps qui Passe museum. The other follows a quieter route through forests and along the Céou Valley’s riversides. Routes are provided on a phone or map for guidance during the ride.

Half-day rentals cost €60, while a day rental costs €80. The day package also offers reduced prices with selected local partners. Riders must be at least 18 and hold a B, motorcycle or AM/BSR licence; a security deposit is required.
