Lechenicher Stadtgarde is the traditional guard corps of the Lechenicher Narrenzunft 1936 e.V., based in Erftstadt, Germany. It brings local carnival culture to life through performances, music and community events. Its stage programme is available for carnival celebrations, including proclamation ceremonies, gala and ladies’ or men’s sessions, and carnival or guard gatherings. Performances can feature up to four dances by the dance corps, the dance pair and the regimental band.
The organisation also hosts its annual Gardeball, a costume ball traditionally held on the last Saturday in January. Guests can enjoy dancing, live entertainment, food and drinks, a cocktail bar, costume competitions and a raffle. The Stadtgarde’s uniformed members open the evening with a selection of their dances, while members help create a festive setting for the event. The website provides information about the guard’s leadership, officers, dance and cadet corps, regimental band, uniforms, medals and contacts for bookings and press inquiries. Through its performances and ball, Lechenicher Stadtgarde offers audiences an engaging way to celebrate carnival traditions.
