Lecker-Heu

Lecker-Heu is a fourth-generation agricultural family business based in Wesel, in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. The farm grows and harvests hay and straw on its own regional fields, offering different types and textures to suit animals with varying preferences and dietary needs. Its products serve horses as well as rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas and cattle.

The range includes nature-conservation hay, meadow hay dried in the field or in a drying facility, and Ackergras Horsemaster hay. The farm also sells straw made from barley or wheat. Because these are fresh, seasonal products, availability can vary, so customers are encouraged to check stock and current prices before visiting. Hay is sold by weight in small or large bales; straw is generally available in large bales, with smaller ones by request.

Lecker-Heu uses controlled drying to produce hay that is low in dust and less prone to mould, making it suitable for sensitive animals. The drying system uses solar-generated electricity.
