Le Cœur sur la Patte 85 is an animal-protection association based in Saint-Prouant, in the Vendée region of France, serving the area around Les Herbiers. Created to help animals in need, the association takes in abandoned, distressed or mistreated animals, including dogs, cats and farm animals. They are cared for at the association’s refuge or placed temporarily with foster families while permanent homes are sought. The association also aims to open an animal pound in Saint-Prouant.

Le Cœur sur la Patte 85 presents dogs and cats available for adoption and helps prospective adopters find a suitable companion. Before adoption, animals receive veterinary care, including identification, initial vaccination, sterilisation and treatment for parasites. For animals under six months, adopters receive a sterilisation voucher. The association works with the Pat’education canine club, whose educators and behaviour specialist offer volunteer support for dogs needing guidance. Its work is supported by members, volunteers and donors, and the organisation welcomes donations, new members and foster families.
