Le Comptoir

Le Comptoir, by François, is a French-style café in Calgary’s Marda Loop neighbourhood, offering a welcoming slice of European café culture. Its food philosophy takes inspiration from the French tradition of serving dishes “on the counter,” with offerings designed to be as appealing to the eye as they are to enjoy. The menu is fully vegetarian and includes a variety of savoury quiches, available by the slice or as whole quiches to take home, including options with mushrooms, spinach, asparagus, pear, leeks and cheeses.

Guests can also enjoy classic coffees such as Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos and mochas, alongside a selection of sparkling, white, rosé and red wines. Café specials include a Sunday mimosa, seasonal avocado toast, and summer evening artisan-style pizzas in Margherita or pesto. The dog-friendly outdoor patio, complete with a fireplace, offers a cozy place to relax.
