Leeds Song

Leeds Song is a Leeds-based organisation celebrating the performance and composition of song and poetry in many languages. Filling the city with song since 2004, it connects artists, audiences and communities through an annual festival and a year-round programme of cultural and educational events. Its concerts, talks and learning activities are presented independently and in collaboration with partners including the Howard Assembly Room at Opera North, Leeds Conservatoire, the University of Leeds and Leeds International Concert Series.

The Leeds Song Festival features recitals, new music, collaborations and opportunities for community participation, with performances by established international artists and emerging talent. The organisation also supports young artists through its Young Artist Programme and offers education projects, composer and poet initiatives, and other participatory activities. Audiences can explore festival events, selected past performances and online video and audio content. Leeds Song provides festival tickets and passes, a mailing list for news and event updates, and opportunities to support its work through Friends and Patron memberships, donations and legacy giving.
