as LeFebre Horsemanship

LeFebre Colt Company is a horse-training business based just north of Aztec, New Mexico, previously known as LeFebre Horsemanship LLC. Serving clients across the continental United States and internationally, the company specializes in starting young horses for western performance and preparing 18-month- to 3-year-old horses for futurities. Its training program typically runs for 60 days or more and covers disciplines including heel, calf and head horses, ranch work, barrel racing and racing.

The company aims to develop respectful, capable, level-minded horses through varied, practical experience. Training includes arena work and riding outside in the hills and sand washes, with opportunities to encounter cattle, children and real ranch tasks such as shipping, doctoring, hunting and packing. Owners are encouraged, but not required, to visit their horses about every 30 days and can ride their own horses during visits.

LeFebre Colt Company also lists clinics and lessons, judging, internships and employment, and sale horses among its offerings. The business reports industry recognition and positive customer reviews.
