El legado andalusí es una Fundación Pública de la Junta de Andalucía adscrita a la Consejería de Cultura y Deporte que posee la condición de Medio Propio Personificado. Cuenta con el apoyo del Consejo de Europa y la colaboración de numerosas instituciones públicas y privadas. Las actividades de la Fundación se articulan en torno a la difusión y preservación de la herencia cultural y artística de al-Andalus, y del papel que Andalucía y España han jugado a lo largo de la historia tanto como puente cultural entre Oriente y Occidente como en las relaciones con los países del mundo árabe, mediterráneo e iberoamericano.
