About Правовая инициатива
"Правовая инициатива" is a non-profit, non-governmental human rights organization in Belarus, dedicated to defending human rights since 1996. Our mission includes legal education, protecting victims of human rights violations, advocacy for legislative improvements, and raising awareness internationally about human rights issues in Belarus. In 2020, we established the International Committee for Investigating Torture in Belarus, documenting and preserving evidence of regime crimes.
We also prioritize education, believing that people can only fight for their rights if they understand them. Through courses, quizzes, and educational videos, we empower individuals to advocate for their rights. Our services range from documenting torture and promoting human rights through various media channels to offering online and offline courses.
