LEGS ÉDITION

LEGS ÉDITION is a Haiti-based publishing and literary organization whose institutional platform brings together a publishing house, the annual journal Legs et Littérature, and the Association Legs et Littérature (ALEL). Its publishing program spans nine collections focused on Haitian and Francophone literature, as well as works connected with Haiti. The catalogue includes books by Haitian and international authors, alongside new editions and translations, including works translated into Haitian Creole.

The journal, originally published twice a year and devoted to literature from French-, English-, and Spanish-speaking islands, has appeared annually since January 2023. Through research, teaching, school-based circulation of texts, and initiatives to improve access to reading across Haiti, ALEL extends the organization’s literary work beyond publishing. LEGS ÉDITION also shares literary news, author features, reviews, events, and calls for contributions, and supports platforms such as the Portail des voix féminines d’Haïti.
