About Leiden Declaration
The Leiden Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics is a significant community initiative aimed at addressing the challenges associated with the integration of artificial intelligence in mathematics research. The official website serves as a platform for individuals to read the declaration and publicly support it by signing their names to a list of signatories. Curated endorsements from various mathematicians and researchers are also featured, offering further validation of the declaration's goals.
Managed by a dedicated group of convenors, including Johannes Schmitt from ETH Zurich and Bartosz Naskręcki from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the site prioritizes transparency and public engagement. It facilitates collaboration by providing news updates related to the declaration and allows for institutional endorsements, although these do not equate to organizational signatures. For further inquiries, the website provides contact options for both questions about the declaration and technical issues. The Leiden Declaration emphasizes community involvement to foster responsible AI practices within the mathematics field.
