Leidenschaft Meerforelle is a German-language fishing community and information site devoted to sea-trout fishing along the Baltic coast. Created by Alex, its administrator, the site grew from a personal enthusiasm for wading and pursuing sea trout into a meeting place for anglers who share that interest. It reflects the development of the sport, from its early association with spin fishing to the growth of coastal fly fishing and the newer practice of targeting sea trout from kayaks.

The site brings together a forum, photo galleries, and practical material for enthusiasts. Its fly-fishing resources include fly galleries, tying instructions, and discussions of fly-tying materials, while community features such as swaps encourage members to share their work and ideas. News and event posts cover topics including fishing gatherings, partner events, and the RISE Fly Fishing Film Festival. The website also publishes updates about its forum software, hosting, and ongoing technical changes. Overall, Leidenschaft Meerforelle serves as a focused online hub where sea-trout anglers can exchange knowledge, discover fishing-related content, and stay connected with a community united by a passion for the “silver” fish.
