Leijsenakkers

Gedenkpark Leijsenakkers is a serene memorial park located in Oosterhout, designed to honor and remember loved ones from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Spanning six hectares, the park features both traditional and modern burial options, including children's graves, Islamic graves, and natural burial sites divided by the changing seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn, each offering its unique atmosphere and planting.

In addition to conventional graves, Leijsenakkers provides facilities for the interment of ashes in urns, whether in a columbarium, urn grave, or private plot. This commitment to personalization ensures families can create a meaningful memorial space tailored to their needs.

Beyond its role as a burial ground, Gedenkpark Leijsenakkers is home to special monuments, art installations, and a Polish war cemetery, creating a peaceful environment for reflection. Managed by the non-profit Stichting Gedenkpark Leijsenakkers, the park prides itself on providing compassionate support and a wealth of knowledge to bereaved families during their time of need.
