Leluja

Leluja is a folkloric ensemble and association based in Provodov, in the Czech Republic. It celebrates and shares the region’s traditional culture through music, singing, dance, costumes, and seasonal customs. The ensemble performs at local festivals, community celebrations, religious occasions, and cultural events, bringing folk traditions to audiences of different generations.

Its repertoire and activities include traditional weddings, folk songs and dances, Christmas carols, and customs connected with the changing seasons. These include the spring tradition of symbolically carrying winter out of the village, as well as Advent performances featuring stories, lights, and folk theatre. Leluja also takes part in regional and international children’s folklore festivals, where performances create opportunities to meet other ensembles and share cultural traditions.

Alongside its performances, Leluja helps organize events such as the Hore Provodovem folklore festival, which features children’s workshops and ensemble performances, and an annual folklore ball. Through its public program, the group offers audiences an engaging way to experience the living heritage of the Luhačovské Zálesí region.
