L'Embriaco

L’Embriaco is a restaurant, wine bar and lounge in Genoa’s historic centre, located at Piazza Embriaci near the Mura della Marina and the medieval Torre degli Embriaci. Set within the city’s historic surroundings, its dining and lounge spaces include a private area created in an old cistern and the building’s foundations.

The restaurant serves traditional Genoese and Ligurian dishes alongside Mediterranean cooking, reimagined with contemporary techniques and international influences. Chef Sebastiano Stasi brings a strong connection to Ligurian food traditions, supported by training at ALMA, the international cooking school founded by Gualtiero Marchesi, and experience in fine-dining kitchens and notable European Michelin-starred restaurants. His approach emphasizes ingredient research, careful preparation and a balance of tradition and innovation. Guests can choose from a seasonal à la carte menu or “Il Viaggio,” a five-course tasting menu.

The lounge bar offers house cocktails paired with a finger-food menu, making it a setting for aperitifs as well as private gatherings.
