LENASO

LENASO, the Lesotho Network of AIDS Service Organizations, is a prominent indigenous organization established in 1991 and officially registered in 1994. With a mission to enhance Primary Health Care (PHC) at the community level, LENASO works to combat chronic and pandemic illnesses, including HIV, TB, Cancer, and COVID-19. The organization excels in coordinating community-based health interventions, promoting social behavior change, and addressing critical issues such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and adolescent health.

Operating through a network of approximately 200 affiliates, LENASO boasts a robust presence across all ten districts of Lesotho, implementing health promotion services in more than 300 communities. Their initiatives include health outreach, screening, case identification, and patient tracking. The organization prides itself on inclusive governance, with a National Executive Committee guiding its efforts to ensure the accessibility and affordability of health services. Through extensive collaboration and resource mobilization, LENASO is committed to improving health outcomes and ensuring equity in health care for all communities.
