OpenGemeenten

Lenteveld is a fictional municipality inspired by Springfield from The Simpsons and serves as a demonstration site for the OpenGemeenten web concept and its components. The website presents the kind of information and services residents might expect from a local government, covering personal documents and registrations, housing, building projects, waste, safety, transport, and public spaces. It also outlines support relating to benefits, debt, household assistance, youth care, childcare, and education.

Residents can find information about taxes, permits, subsidies, elections, complaints, and objections, while local businesses can access guidance on procurement, business support, commercial areas, retail, and hospitality. The site features municipal news, council information, job opportunities, and an events calendar. Its highlighted initiatives include sustainable energy, home improvements, neighborhood greening, and new housing in the Bloemendael district.

The demonstration also displays practical municipal website features, such as contact details, opening hours, search, an A–Z directory, accessibility information, and privacy and security pages. OpenGemeenten provides the web concept and component overview showcased through Lenteveld
