Leopold Kyokushin Karate Club

Leopold Kyokushin Karate Club is a non-profit organisation serving the local community through martial arts training. Part of the Kyokushin karate tradition, the club welcomes children and adults seeking to improve fitness, coordination, confidence and self-defence skills while developing respect, perseverance and tolerance. Training is led by internationally recognised black belts, and instructors and senior students hold Working with Children accreditation.

The club offers junior classes for children from around age five, depending on maturity, combining Kyokushin karate with fun activities and encouraging energetic participation. Advanced classes are also available. New participants can try their first two classes free and are advised to wear a T-shirt with shorts or tracksuit pants. Sessions take place on Mondays and Thursdays at Leopold Community Hub, with closures on public holidays when the library is closed.

Training fees are offered monthly, by term or yearly, with rates for children, adults and families. The club is associated with Hanshi Gary Viccars’ branch and provides membership information and contact details for prospective members.
