Families provide details such as the child’s name, age, interests, a photo or description, and information about companions; the resulting story can include up to four characters, such as siblings, friends, or a favorite toy. The child’s face is illustrated throughout the book, while the story and chosen setting are tailored to their world, with themes including pirates, space, fairies, and dinosaurs.

Customers can generate a free preview in about two minutes, review the proposed story and cover, and pay only if they are satisfied. Books are available in 10- or 20-chapter editions, with an introduction and conclusion, and include a PDF as well as a printed A4 version.
