LEQUE

LEQUE is an association for parents and friends of people with special needs, focused on improving the quality of life and physical and emotional well-being of people with disabilities and their families in the Bragança district. Its mission also includes promoting social inclusion and building understanding of difference, beginning within families and extending to the wider community.

The association offers a range of social and specialist services. These include a service centre, family support, an inclusive rural tourism holiday centre, and external services in physiotherapy, psychology and vocational guidance, psychomotricity, and speech therapy. LEQUE also provides training and develops initiatives with partner organisations and public bodies. Its “1 Por Tod@s Gaia” project was designed by a multidisciplinary LEQUE team and, through collaboration with the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, is delivered in the city’s school groups.
