lerenlopenopjehanden.nl

Leren Lopen op je Handen is a Dutch-language platform created by Jannet Wiegersma, a nurse practitioner, author, coach and healthcare speaker. It supports people facing serious illness and the upheaval it can bring, offering guidance on how to live as healthily as possible while being ill. Its central idea, “learning to walk on your hands,” encourages people to accept help, slow down and reconsider what matters when life is turned upside down.

The website shares articles and blog stories for patients, as well as information for family members and friends who want to support someone who is ill. It also offers resources for healthcare professionals, with a focus on helping patients find their own ways to cope rather than trying to keep everything unchanged. Visitors can order Wiegersma’s book through the online shop, request a coaching session, or book a lecture, workshop or training for care providers. Lectures and workshops are available online, and the site provides contact options and an excerpt from the book.
