Les Ecuries de Pénélope

Les Écuries de Pénélope is a horse boarding facility in Poleymieux-au-Mont-d’Or, set in the green surroundings of the Monts d’Or, about 25 minutes by car from Lyon and accessible by bus 84. The stable places animal welfare at the heart of its approach and offers horses a choice of boarding arrangements across 30 hectares of pasture. Options include pasture boarding, pasture-and-box boarding, and a herd setting for horses with emphysema.

Depending on the package, facilities and care include spacious boxes with automatic waterers, daily turnout, hay, regular meals, shelters, daily monitoring, and winter paddocks with stabilized areas. The pasture-and-box option includes straw bedding, while the emphysema-friendly service provides sterilized hay in nets during winter and access to grass in summer. Riders can use the facilities included with selected boarding plans, such as a 28-by-36-metre sand arena with lighting and automatic watering, or book the outdoor cross-country course for an hourly fee.
