Les Escales de Binic

Les Escales de Binic is a literary festival and cultural association based in Binic-Étables-sur-Mer, France. Dedicated to “wandering literature,” the festival brings readers and writers together through an annual programme of author encounters, readings and events celebrating a wide range of writing. Its 16th edition is scheduled for 2–4 April 2027, including a school day on 2 April. The programming team selects authors and authors for invitation through its own reading and literary discoveries.

Beyond the main festival, Les Escales de Binic organises events throughout the year, including the Escales Gourmandes, which combine conversation and refreshments. The programme also features meetings in libraries and bookshops, school activities, exhibitions, cinema, poetry, performances and musical encounters. These events offer opportunities for audiences to discover authors, discuss books and explore literature in different forms and settings. The association works with partners and a volunteer team to welcome readers, writers and the wider community. Its activities encourage reading as a way to share emotions, encounter different lives and engage with the world.
