Les amis de l'Histoire

Les Amis de l’Histoire is a cultural heritage association based in Cauffry, in the Oise department of France. Founded around twenty years ago, it focuses on researching and safeguarding the cultural and historical heritage of the Liancourt canton. Recognised as being of general interest, the association helps local residents and visitors explore the region’s history through exhibitions, publications and events.

Its programme features subjects including local churches, Gallo-Roman life, water, ceramics and Art Deco, with exhibitions hosted in libraries, community venues and historic sites around the area. The association also publishes informational bulletins and a range of history reviews, including special editions and youth publications, some of which are available for purchase. Its online resources include archives of past events and publications, historical documents, videos and photographs.

The group holds a weekly public office at the Cauffry library on Tuesday mornings and invites new members to join. Through its activities and resources, Les Amis de l’Histoire connects the community with the stories, places and cultural heritage of the Liancourt area.
