Le Sanctuaire des 4 Pattes is a Dordogne-based business devoted to creating thoughtful funeral products and services for companion animals. Founded by Delphine Simon-Dumarchat after the loss of her own pets, the brand grew from a desire to help families honour an animal’s life with a personal and meaningful farewell. Its range includes handcrafted coffins, funeral urns, reliquaries, memorial keepsakes and ceremony items, as well as funeral covers.
The coffins are made by hand rather than mass-produced, using oak and beech wood, organic paints, satin and other fabrics for the lining. The business also creates unique models, reflecting its focus on personalisation and remembrance. Alongside its products, the Sanctuaire des 4 Pattes operates an animal cemetery in Saint-Astier, open daily with seasonal visiting hours.
Its work is grounded in the belief that pets are close companions and deserve a respectful tribute. Through its handmade creations and cemetery, the brand supports families as they navigate the loss of an animal and seek lasting ways to remember them
