About Wood Industry Cluster Slovenia
Lesarski Grozd is a non-profit institution established in 1999 by 17 woodworking companies and two institutions as a Development Center for Wood Processing. Renamed in 2003, Lesarski Grozd connects a third of employees in forestry and wooden processing industry in Slovenia with key Slovenian woodworking research institutions. Collaborating on projects tailored to companies' needs, our common goal is to enhance members' competitiveness.
Since 2007, Lesarski Grozd has been operating in conjunction with the Association of Wood and Furniture Industry (ZLPI) at GZS, supporting industry policies and coordinating interests. Our mission is facilitating collaboration between companies and research institutions to accelerate knowledge transfer, enhance participation in international projects, and achieve knowledge-based competitiveness. Our focus areas include R&D projects, company development support, training, internationalization, knowledge transfer, circular economy, digitalization, and sector support network strengthening
