Les Azimutés d’Uzès is a French nonprofit association founded in 2015 to organize photography-focused cultural events in Uzès and the surrounding region. Its work promotes photographers’ projects, supports artistic initiatives in public spaces, and creates opportunities for artists and audiences to meet. The association’s central event is the Biennale de la Photographie d’Uzès, which brings together thousands of local and visiting guests.
Since 2025, the festival has followed a biennial format, allowing time to develop ambitious exhibitions and deeper connections with the public. The 2027 edition, scheduled for June 26 to July 3, explores “Beyond the Visible,” inviting photographers to investigate what lies beyond ordinary perception. In 2026, the association is presenting “Autrefois, Uzès,” a community-focused project developed with the Uzès intercommunal media library and town hall.
It combines an exhibition of historic photographs and photographic equipment with a contemporary photography competition, connecting local archives, residents’ memories, and new creative perspectives. The association also offers related activities, including guided exhibition visits and opportunities for photographers to submit projects
