Lesefest in Osterfeld

Lesefest in Osterfeld is a community cultural festival that celebrates reading, stories and the pleasure of literature through events held across Osterfeld. Its third edition is scheduled for 9–17 October 2026, bringing the town to life with a varied programme for different interests and audiences. Planned highlights include a Miss Marple-themed mystery evening, a humorous appearance by the Krimi-Cops, an event at a hair salon, Frank Goosen at Burg Vondern, and a party at the new youth centre. Visitors can browse the online event calendar for details, while people with suggestions or ideas are invited to contact the organising team.

The festival’s earlier programmes show its broad approach to culture and participation. Events in 2025 included readings, a writing workshop, an escape game, a picture-book cinema, music, discussions and activities for children. The 2024 edition also offered a range of literary and cultural events. Lesefest in Osterfeld combines live readings and creative experiences, making books and storytelling accessible in distinctive local settings.
