Les Galopins du Sancy is an equestrian centre in Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, in the heart of the Massif du Sancy and the Auvergne volcanoes. It invites visitors to experience the region’s natural landscapes through activities with horses and ponies, welcoming adults, teenagers and children from age two. Offerings include horse rides, pony rides, riding lessons, children’s and teen courses, equestrian stays, group and seminar visits, and accommodation in a gîte.
The year-round riding school teaches multiple disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, trail riding, pony games, cross-country, horse-ball and equifeel. Its approach combines gentle, playful teaching with equestrian ethology and attention to riders’ posture. The centre also offers equestrian schooling and therapy sessions with horses.
Its ethos places animal welfare and care for nature at the heart of its work: horses live in groups with outdoor access, receive individual care and are trained with kindness. The centre reports holding the French Equestrian Federation’s Equine Wellbeing label and the EquRess Progression label, alongside environmental and social commitments
