LES MADISES

Les Madises is the ceramics studio and gallery of Damise Brault, a passionate ceramic artist based in Dieulefit, a renowned centre of French ceramics. The studio presents her original creations alongside works by invited artists selected through personal encounters and artistic interests. Its collection includes unique ceramic pieces, tableware and decorative objects, offering visitors a variety of handmade designs.

Les Madises also welcomes students to learn and experiment with clay. From September to late March, courses cover decorating ceramics with personal drawings, hand-building techniques such as slab and coil modelling, and transferring photographs onto ceramic pieces. Introductory pottery sessions are available for children aged four and over, and an annual package combines the three main course options.

During selected school holidays, the studio offers a five-day creative stay featuring ceramics, a sewing session and a guided hike in the Drôme Provençale. Packages are available with or without accommodation. Visitors can also explore the gallery at 39 rue du Bourg in Dieulefit, with opening hours varying by season.
