Les Petits Pas Albi

Le Lieu d’Accueil Enfants-Parents Les Petits Pas is a welcoming, free space in Albi for children aged 0 to 4 and the parents or relatives who accompany them. Created in 1994 by early-childhood professionals and inspired by Françoise Dolto’s Maison Verte, it helps young children discover social life alongside a familiar adult, at their own pace and in a setting designed to support emotional security.

Rather than offering scheduled activities, Les Petits Pas provides play, books and opportunities for discovery that encourage children and adults to meet and interact. Parents can connect with one another, share experiences and concerns, and receive a listening ear from a varied team of professionals, including psychologists, doctors, midwives, nurses and early-childhood educators. Families are welcomed together, with no advance registration required; visits are free and anonymous apart from the child’s first name.

Managed by the association Prévention et Petite Enfance with volunteer members, the service is supported by the Tarn family benefits fund, the City of Albi and partner organizations.
