At Lessons in Conservation, we are a youth-led non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better future for our natural world. Founded in Pretoria, South Africa in 2018, our operations have expanded throughout South Africa and into Africa. Our mission is to raise awareness about conservation in rural communities, focusing on educating underprivileged children with limited access to information.

Through our programs, we teach children basic ecological principles and the importance of conservation. We also aim to foster a lasting connection between people and wildlife by organizing educational excursions to reserves. These excursions include game drives, bush walks, and other hands-on activities that complement their classroom learnings.

Furthermore, we fund training courses for outstanding students identified through our programs. Our goal is to help these students enter accredited training courses in various conservation fields and facilitate their employment in the industry. By doing so, we empower them to become conservation heroes and heroines in their communities.
