LESY

LESY Slovenskej republiky (LESY SR) is a Slovak state enterprise focused on forest management and forestry services. Its work includes caring for forests, supporting nature protection, and managing timber production and sales. The enterprise provides timber trading services, including electronic timber auctions, and offers firewood for households. The organisation connects the public with forests through forest education programmes, nature trails, tourist shelters and visitor attractions such as the bison reserve in Topoľčianky. Its Forestry and Woodworking Museum presents the history of forestry and woodworking. Through its online shop, LESY SR sells game meat and prepared foods, forest-inspired products such as honey, teas, jams and dried fruit, wines, candles, publications and souvenirs. The enterprise also provides tourist and hotel accommodation and shares information about forest management, projects and public activities.
