About Let's Build Great Things
Let's Build Great Things is a brand that brings innovative art and maker classes to children in Sri Lanka, focusing on empowering kids to take charge of their world through project-based learning. Classes, inspired by architecture, are taught by designers and creatives at the 'Building Hope' Children's center in Colombo, Sri Lanka. With a strong belief in arts-based education, the brand offers context-specific design education for children aged 5-16, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
The ultimate goal is to empower children to become self-initiated change-makers by using architectural and design pedagogy as tools. Through fun exercises and teamwork, the brand aims to cultivate critical thinking and leadership skills in young minds. Volunteers play a crucial role as facilitators, guiding students towards initiating their own projects in future sessions.
