Let Them Eat Lace! is the fashion label and creative practice of Melbourne designer Brendan Smith. The brand brings together custom-made ready-to-wear clothing for men and women, bespoke couture, and freelance dressmaking for film and television. Clients can commission one-off pieces for bridal and evening wear, or contact Brendan to discuss a custom order or creative collaboration.
The portfolio highlights work across wedding dresses, eveningwear, apparel, headwear, and fashion events. Featured projects include DECO, a bespoke wedding dress; SAPPHIRE, a bespoke evening dress; and LE RÊVE NOIR, another bespoke wedding dress. The label also presents ready-to-wear apparel and headwear, alongside projects such as a 24-hour challenge with Henry Roth and Jessica Rowe and the Fashion Aid Charity Gala runway presented by Henry Roth.
With its mix of individually commissioned couture and ready-to-wear design, Let Them Eat Lace! offers a personal approach to fashion and garment creation. Brendan Smith is available for custom commissions, collaborations, and freelance projects.
