Leucadia Children's School

Leucadia Children’s School, known locally as “the little red school,” provides a nurturing, home-like setting where children can play, learn, and build skills to prepare for elementary school. Located in Leucadia, California, the school emphasizes a positive, secure environment and offers care from patient, dedicated teachers. Staff members are educated beyond state childcare requirements, and a low teacher-to-student ratio helps ensure children receive individual attention. Low staff turnover also allows teachers to become familiar with each child’s personality.

The school’s programs combine indoor learning and outdoor activity. Children take part in daily art projects, stories, letter and number reviews, songs, language activities, and social interactions. A half-acre play-yard features shade trees, a lawn, a sand play area, a tricycle path, and climbing structures. Students can also help care for bunnies and other small classroom and play-yard pets. Leucadia Children’s School offers information about its programs, enrollment, daily schedule, and holiday schedule, and welcomes families to join its learning community.
