Leuvense Kerstmarkt, one of the oldest and most charming Christmas markets in the country, offers a delightful blend of tasty treats, exciting experiences, and enjoyable shopping. Celebrating its 35th edition in 2023, the market will be held on Hoover- and Ladeuzeplein, providing 14 days of Christmas festivities from Thursday, December 7 to Thursday, December 21. Looking back at its history, the first Leuvense Kerstmarkt took place in 1988, and it has since become a beloved tradition.
Over the years, the market has supported various charitable causes, such as SOS Kerstkadeau, autism awareness, and the fight against multiple sclerosis. Famous artists, including Stef Bos, Soulsister, and Dana Winner, have graced the stage to entertain visitors. With its enchanting atmosphere and over 90 stalls in 1989, the Leuvense Kerstmarkt has grown to become a must-visit event during the festive season.
