Lev Vestjylland

Lev Vestjylland is the local branch of Lev, an organisation supporting people with intellectual disabilities and those close to them. Its work covers six municipalities in western Jutland: Herning, Holstebro, Ikast-Brande, Lemvig, Ringkøbing-Skjern and Struer. The branch brings people together through local activities and events, shares updates through its Facebook group and publishes the Lev Vestjylland magazine.

Lev Vestjylland welcomes members and volunteers and accepts support from individuals and businesses. It can also provide grants or deficit guarantees to associations and institutions organising activities in its area, subject to application criteria and a budget.

As part of Lev, the branch connects people with professional social guidance and practical support. Services include a free guide for relatives seeking someone to talk with, and a trained volunteer companion who can assist before, during and after meetings. Membership offers access to benefits such as discounts on selected stays, experiences, books and aids for people with disabilities.
