Lewisham Wing Chun

Lewisham Wing Chun is a full-time martial arts school in Lewisham and a member of the WCKUK Organisation. It teaches the traditional art of Wing Chun Kung Fu, emphasizing precision, efficient movement, quick reflexes and practical self-defence rather than reliance on brute strength. Classes are designed for students of different ages, abilities and experience levels, in a welcoming, structured environment where participants can progress at their own pace.

Adult classes are open to men and women and provide weekly training in Wing Chun techniques, with opportunities to improve fitness, confidence and skill. Children’s classes welcome students from age four and use age-appropriate activities to develop self-defence skills, focus, confidence and strength. Newcomers can start with a free trial lesson, which includes an introduction to the school and basic training in balance, control and redirecting an opponent’s force. The school promotes a supportive atmosphere free from egos or aggression. Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with prospective students able to contact the school for further information or to arrange a visit.
