Lewy Buddies UK

Lewy Buddies UK is a community-led peer support charity created by and for people affected by Lewy body dementia in the United Kingdom. It brings together individuals, families and carers to share experiences, build meaningful connections and support one another through the challenges of living with the condition. Its services are grounded in lived experience and are designed to offer practical, relevant support.

Membership is free and provides access to the secure Buddy Directory, a nationwide database where members can search for people nearby or in similar circumstances and connect for mutual support. Members can also take part in online support meetings, including sessions focused on different topics. The organisation shares “What Worked For Me” experiences and offers a plain-language guide to the conditions and symptoms caused by Lewy bodies, available to watch, read or download. It also directs visitors to other sources of support and information. Lewy Buddies UK invites people to join its mailing list for news and service updates, and welcomes donations to help sustain its work.
