Lokalhistorisk Forening for Brøndby is a local-history association dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing stories about Brøndby’s past. It connects residents and others interested in the area’s heritage through historical articles, community events and opportunities to explore local places and their history. Activities have included guided walks through Brøndbyøster, visits to Brøndbyøster Church and the Middelalderlandsbyen, and talks about historic buildings, customs and everyday life. Events are free for members; non-members generally pay a small participation fee, and registration is handled online.
The association welcomes individual and household members, with annual fees of 50 and 75 Danish kroner respectively. Members receive occasional news emails, while non-members can follow updates on the association’s Facebook page. Its website also shares announcements, historical material and information about activities. For questions about historical collections or contacting Brøndby Local Archive, visitors are directed to Forstadsmuseet, which handles those enquiries. Forstadsmuseet also sells publications about the histories of Brøndby and Hvidovre.
