Lolland-Falster Historical Society is a membership association dedicated to strengthening interest in local history and expanding knowledge of the past of Lolland-Falster, Denmark. Its work centers on publishing an annual yearbook featuring historical topics from the region and arranging activities of general historical interest, including talks and excursions. Members receive the yearbook each year, along with information about the coming year’s programme, and may take part in society events; some activities may involve a modest additional fee. Membership is open to anyone who joins and pays the annual fee.
The society also makes its historical publications accessible to a wider audience. Yearbooks, except for the two most recent editions, have been digitized and are available to download free as PDF files. Its website provides access to digital editions, article indexes and information about regional monuments, archaeological finds and notable historical figures. Older printed yearbooks can also be purchased through its webshop.
