ERA - LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey is a regional association that brings together lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, and queer organizations from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. Founded by 25 LGBTI organizations in 2015, ERA serves as an umbrella organization at regional and international levels. Based in Belgrade, Serbia, ERA's mission is to inspire positive change in society by advocating and promoting the human rights of individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics.

The LGBTI movements in the countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey have made tremendous progress, emerging as strong agents of change. From organizing pride events to engaging with policymakers and the larger public, these movements have given a voice to the needs and concerns of LGBTI communities. However, they continue to face challenges, including hate crimes and discrimination.

ERA aims to provide resources and support to LGBTI activists and organizations, create a united voice to address common challenges, identify opportunities, and respond to threats. The association works towards advancing the rights and equality of LGBTI people through raising awareness, advocating for human rights protection, promoting EU integration, capacity building, networking, and facilitating cross-sectoral partnerships.
