The Local Group Astronomy Club, based in Santa Clarita Valley, California, has been inspiring a passion for astronomy since 1984 through educational outreach programs for schools, Scouts, and the wider community. Each year, approximately 6,000 children and adults have the opportunity to explore the cosmos through the club’s telescopes, all at no cost. The club hosts monthly meetings at a local bookstore, featuring lectures from esteemed astronomers and scientists from institutions like Caltech and JPL, alongside regular club discussions.

Members also enjoy exclusive benefits, including field trips to renowned observatories, one-on-one telescope training, and semi-annual dark-sky camping trips.
