Lance Hughey Crappie Guide Service LLC provides guided crappie fishing trips on Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas’s Ozark region. Led by professional guide Lance Hughey, the service draws on his 13 years of year-round fishing experience on the lake. Trips are designed to be enjoyable and educational, with the aim of giving guests an unforgettable day on the water; catching fish is an added bonus.

The guide’s primary approach is slow vertical trolling, also known as spider rigging. This technique uses six to eight poles pushed slowly in front of the boat to target crappie. Lance teaches guests how the method works and can also offer help with outfitting a fishing boat. The service operates from a 19-foot Ranger equipped with modern electronic technology, with room for up to three additional people to fish comfortably.

A full-day trip lasts six to eight hours and costs $400 for up to two people or $500 for three. Prospective guests can contact Lance to ask questions or book a trip.
