LHEE, the Lebanese House for the Environment, is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving Lebanon’s biodiversity and natural landscapes while empowering communities to shape a healthier future. Its work combines environmental protection with education and community-led development. LHEE leads reforestation, habitat restoration, waste reduction, clean-up campaigns, and awareness initiatives; the organization reports planting more than 5,000 trees and conducting over 200 clean-ups.
Its services include eco-consulting and strategic planning for organizations and municipalities, green solutions, and programs that help communities adopt sustainable practices. Through eco-education, LHEE equips children and local residents with knowledge and tools to reduce waste and live in greater harmony with nature. The organization also supports community-based projects that connect environmental responsibility with sustainable economic growth and local empowerment.
In addition, LHEE provides emergency and humanitarian support, including safe corridors for vulnerable civilians and assistance related to education, food security, clean water, and medical logistics in high-risk areas. Its projects and partnerships extend across Lebanon and include regional and international collaborations
